Connecting professional recovery with everyday life

  • Covamio is a musculoskeletal recovery technology company developing body-specific wearable systems and an AI-enabled platform for use across professional care and everyday life.
  • The company’s first system, S3, is designed around the shoulder. It combines Covamio’s proprietary M-sti matrix electrical pulse system with red and near-infrared light, zoned heat and AI-assisted sensing and control. Designed for rehabilitation facilities and professionally guided home programs, S3 allows one structured recovery approach to continue across settings.
  • Beyond S3, Covamio is building a shared digital foundation that connects devices, applications, recovery information and professional tools. Its body-specific product architecture is designed to extend across other joints and musculoskeletal needs, with each system shaped around the anatomy, movement and demands of its region.

Built across medical hardware, wearable sensing and AI

  • Covamio was founded by a multidisciplinary team with experience in medical hardware, wearable sensing and artificial intelligence.
  • Our work brings together product engineering, body-specific wearable design, sensing and control, digital applications and the practical requirements of musculoskeletal recovery. We also work with clinical, rehabilitation and academic partners to strengthen evidence, responsible data practices and real-world use.

Recovery has to work in real life

  • Recovery rarely follows a neat schedule. It continues through work, sleep, exercise and the ordinary movements that still feel difficult. Professional care can set the direction, but the plan still has to work in daily life.
  • Covamio was created to make that connection more practical. We develop body-specific wearables and an AI-enabled platform that bring physical intervention, guidance, recovery information and follow-up into the same recovery process.
  • We chose the shoulder as our starting point because it combines everyday importance with unusual complexity. The shoulder is involved in reaching, dressing, working, sport and sleep. When movement becomes painful or restricted, even simple tasks can become difficult. Its wide range of motion also places demanding requirements on wearable fit, coverage and control.
  • That challenge led to S3. The shoulder-specific system brings M-sti matrix electrical stimulation, red and near-infrared light, zoned heat and AI-assisted sensing into one ergonomic wearable. It is designed for rehabilitation facilities and professionally guided home programs, allowing the same product and structured approach to work across both settings.
  • The wearable is one part of what Covamio is building. The Covamio Platform is being developed to connect guided use, device activity, user feedback, recovery records, follow-up and reassessment. This can give individuals a clearer path to follow and professionals better context when reviewing progress.
  • The shoulder is Covamio’s first product area. The same body-specific design approach provides the foundation for expansion across other joints and musculoskeletal needs. Within this architecture, each wearable is developed around the anatomy, movement and demands of its region, while relevant user applications, professional tools and recovery records connect through the same platform. This allows Covamio to expand across the body as one connected recovery system, not a collection of separate devices.
  • This is what Keep Recovery Moving means to us: technology and support that help recovery keep pace with real life.

Keep Recovery Moving

Recovery should stay connected as people move between professional care, home and everyday routines. Covamio helps the plan, guidance and relevant information move with them.
